Think that will be wishful thinking is she runs to form.
I do like Ramsdens runners in the million to run well but Silver Mountain will go platinum

Snaith was talking Black Arthur for Derby before he hit the racecourse so he gets my vote but Brazuca has the most reliable form.
I like Inara X Sj of course but Alexis for places.

My thoughts on the big 3 races today.
Derby - With Rabada out, I'll be leaning towards Black Arthur. Very impressive last time, came from last and powered away to win. Still improving, this will only be his fifth run and looks to have plenty more to come. No question about the distance. Snaith's know what it takes to win the derby, Legislate in recent times.
His immediate danger is obviously Brazuca who has the best form bar none in the race. However there is a question over the distance. I know he was running on powerfully last time, however running on strongly over 1600 doesn't guarantee he will stay the 2000 or be at his best over the 10 furlong. Wonder who gets the ride now? Of the balance, I've followed Marinaresco very closely over his career and he screams derby type, however that draw is a huge concern and BA holds him comfortably.
BA x Brazuca x Marinaresco
Majorca - SJ is the best four old filly, no doubt but just that last run didn't inspire confidence. I know she had a bad draw but so did Inara and Inara beat her over a length. Inara's just a different kettle of fish in the Cape. Inara won this race last year and now the prices, for me, are too skewed in favour of SJ. 7/10 vs 5/1? the 5/1 screams value. I still think SJ is the better filly but at 5/1, I'll take the risk. Also, you can get 1,56/1 a place on Inara rather than SJ at 7/10 to win? Hmmm....
Inara to win a ding dong tussle, SJ second and take your pick for third
MDR- Right, well, I rate Silver Mountain as highly as you can rate a horse. I've followed her since her debut and it's good to see a horse realise its potential. For me, the Guineas was never her main target, they only left her to run because of the fashion of her Fillies Guineas win. With the below-par ride she was given, she was never going to win the race which also maybe came too soon for her. She ran just under a length from Noah. Noah beat Futura last week by two lengths. Form doesn't look too bad now does it?
On to this race, just cause it's the Million Dollar race, I feel something can beat her today. Maybe because of the scrummaging and jostling for position etc. However, if she gets a clear run, nothing will stop her. Her turn of foot is something else from any horse in this field. I got on early at the initial 18/10. At 1/1 now, I advise you to look elsewhere purely on value wise.
My value in the race is Victorious Jay. WSB has him at 18/1! this horse almost beat SM last time! He is huge value. Horse always runs his heart out and he was pretty unlucky in the Selangor, if SM flops, I hope he wins it.
Others to look at - Exit here, Hard Day's night and Seventh Plain.
Silver Mountain x Victorious Jay x Hard Day's Night.
Enjoy the racing and good luck guys. May the best horses win every race today and no hard luck stories.

Especially that all suitable jocks are already riding in the race.

Money down in the first race, wouldn't oppose
Prefer Whiskey Baron to artic blast
Cant believe Annigoni was as high as 7/1, will be right there as always this c&d
Eastern charm a big price e/w, should enjoy the extra and well drawn
Lanner falcon could be anything this distance, same as Entisaar. Dont discount.
I'm going wide in the million dollar race, going to be very rough but the ramsden runners will stake a big claim. Nearly 500k for fifth place so 50k for the jockey, expect them to all take no prisoners.
New found glory a decent punt, bass stable say the fav will need the run

Short of playing musical chairs, on a process of elimination -
Grant Behr?
Jean Paul vd Merwe?
I say put Callan on!

Whoever they put on it will in all likelihood be the jockey's best ever chance of winning a grade 1 and I wish them the best of luck, they'll give it their all that's for sure and for most possible replacements they may never have a chance like this again!
