TAB to pay higher dividends resulting from UK tote favourite error
As a gesture of goodwill TAB will pay the differences in dividends resulting from the UK tote changing the tote favourite in Race 6 at the race meeting at Southwell in the UK last Thursday after the official results and payouts had been declared.

The winner of the race, No 5 The Firm, was declared as the tote favourite in the official result posted by the UK tote. In terms of tote rules No 1 Billy Bond, who was scratched, also qualified as a winner in the Southwell Jackpot, Pick 3 and Place Accumulator, as well as in the relevant Jackpot QuickMix.
After posting the official result and payouts, the UK tote later announced that No 3 Limerick Lord, the fixed-odds second favourite before the scratching of favourite Billy Bond, was the tote favourite and not the winner.
Limerick Lord finished fourth and therefore No 1 Billy Bond should not have qualified as a winner in the Jackpot, Pick 3, Place Accumulator and Jackpot QuickMix.
TAB has paid all winning tickets as per the “official” result. And, as a gesture of goodwill, TAB will also recompense relevant customers the difference between the “official” payouts in the Jackpot, Pick 3, Place Accumulator and Jackpot QuickMix and what would have been the dividends had the correct tote favourite been declared in the first instance.
“Official” payouts and payouts with No 3 as tote favourite are:
JACKPOT: R18,319.20 now R32,087.60
PICK 3: R289.40 now R868.20
PLACE ACCUMULATOR: R28.90 now R106.10
JACKPOT QUICKMIX: R1964.30 now R9,429.10
TAB branch customers who have already cashed winning tickets and should have collected the higher payouts, must submit claim forms for the difference at their relevant TAB. These will be treated as a priority by TAB and will not be subject to the normal waiting period.

On Thursday 21st January in SOUTHWELL race 6 SAFTOTE declared a result with a tote favourite who won (which has subsequently been acknowledged as being incorrect) and based on that calculated and declared dividends for the JACKPOT, P/A, PICK 3 and JACKPOT QUICKMIX—these were their OFFICIAL dividends which HOLLYWOOD uses for their payouts of open bets
SAFTOTE have now recalculated their dividends using the CORRECT tote favourite which ran unplaced and declared what the correct dividends should have been (please note although these are correct they are NOT the official dividends).
Notwithstanding the variance of dividends (beyond our control) HOLLYWOOD will be paying out on the original incorrect OFFICIAL dividend ---as a result of this a large portion of punters who were actually NOT legitimate winners will receive the bonus of being paid.
Furthermore those punters who were legitimate winners but who were prejudiced by the lower incorrect dividends will now be paid at the corrected NON-OFFICIAL dividends. Account bets are being credited with the adjustments and any cash customers affected will be corrected upon presentation for payment at any HOLLYWOOD branch.
Although they did not have to Hollywoodbets.net paid me out R7800 BASED on the incorrect first result. This and the 15% bonus on deposits till 31-Jan 2016 show that Hollywoodbets.net go out of their way to give the punter a chance. Thanks and WELL DONE
