Very unlucky loser.... lost (my opinion...only saw the race once) around 10-15 lengths at the start and was beaten 3.2 lengths trying to weave his way through a wall of horses.

Bob, do your magic and see if you can find us the replay please.

Cape racing is a joke, either crawl then sprint or all head to the outside and run into each other its a circus

That happens all over..remember the July run in? Scottsville sprints?

I think the expectation of better going, combined with some of the more speedy favourites being drawn wide, got them all thinking they could run across and track the leaders. apparently they all had the same thought.

The going seemed pretty unbiased, based on the runs made by win/places on the day so risking traffic problems , and losing lengths to do it probably wasn't worth it to most, and definitely caused problems for some.

As a side note : The 3 yo Filly Champery did not disgrace herself and that form with Princess Royale, Victoria Lavelle and herself may be worth noting in the sprints in my opinion.

Magi, I also back Daring Dave yesterday and the run before, but honestly, I feel it's unfair on the betting public because the day we don't back him, he'd probably jump on terms and trot at big odds. It certainly doesn't benefit anyone, including the connections, if we keep saying if only he wasn't 2, 5 or 10 lengths slow away, he would have won. The horse needs to be suspended and re-schooled.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I watched again (Thanks Bob) .. and paused after the other horses wer 80m's into the race (min of meer...) he was a good 30 metres behind them. BUT, it is then my fault as I did not pay attention for it has been my policy for YEARS ...NEVER back horses who are unrul or slow away. Racing is tuff enough without having to worry about whether they farking jump on terms !!!

Anyone remember Vodkatini,a real rogue at the start.

Another one that was a nightmare for punters was Maylane,I'm sure Mouse Roberts remembers that one fondly.
