Do you think having the two top horses of there age and generation been a problem for the Snaith team!? Maybe not knowing whats best for each of the horses been their downfall?

I really admire Snaith Racing and they are world class, but i really feel for fans of Futura and Legislate fans. I am a huge Futura fan and to see his both poor runs in the two races he killed the field last year was very sad for me.

Maybe these special horses need that extra special care and attention that Justin gave Legislate and Brett gave Futura, i say if stables were the same as last year, we may have been having a Justin 9timer or a crawford gr1 double on the day.

Me feels the owners missed a trick here. Moving a horse from a man who has done wonders with him just doesnt work.

It could just be highly unlikely you will see these 2 sons of Dynasty contesting the Kzn winter season. They will instead be covering mares at stud. :woohoo: :

I totally agree.... Crawford was brilliant and results showed for themself.... Since he has moved to the Snaith's its become a juggling act (and imo, and I'm sure for many others its become a case of 1 for me, 1 for you), and that is not right.....Take nothing away from Snaith racing or Futura and legislate, these 2 specimen of race horses should be challenging each other at full capacity every major race meeting, NOT being pointed at certain meetings..........

I will be first to admit have been dissappointed with Futura but to suggest the Snaith stable is not focused?
They are a very professional outfit that probably broke a world record on Met day and are world class , so I am confident they can handle 2 good horses at the same time.

The stable has more than two good horses. Just saying.

I don't think where the horses were stabled and who with is in this case relevant.
Futura is a colt heading towards a stallion.
Crawford had problems with Jackson towards the end of his racing time which rather supports the philosphy of retiring good entire racehorses to Stud whilst still young eg Frankel and certainly Golden Horn and many others.

Legislate ran a decent LQP but because he pulls along the 2000m might have been a bit tough. Clearly he had issues since last years LQP and has been lightly raced . Maybe to be at his best he needs to run more but can't.

Futura might benefit from trying blinkers ? He looks to race sensibly enough but just hasn't gone through with his effort. Reminds me of a few stallions that did regain their finish when equipped with blinkers.

The Snaiths are horsemen and will have put a lot of attention to both these stars so wouldn't expect anybody to have done a better job.
