"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Thursday 22nd May Workings..

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed then, and went as follows........
The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.72 on arrival, and then a withdrawal and 5.2% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 2.42. The price was still on the high side, and then with another withdrawal and further 10.5% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 2.27 (2.28 nearest exchange price). The price did drop down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.28 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.58. (was 2.8 before reductions), and so traders and builders had a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked in trouble, but came through good in the end to win, so the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' bet now though....
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 1.88 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.88. The lay came in 2nd after a battle and close finish, and so a good result.......
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.88 on arrival and then with dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay went and won well, to make layers look stupid, so the way it goes....
The 4th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.96 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.96. The lay came in 2nd and so a good result........
The 5th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 3.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.94. The price was around 2.86 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.86 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result........
The 6th runner we wanted 1.7, but a non runner and 17.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.58. The price was around 1.62 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 1.58 max. The lay finished 2nd, so a good result.....
The 7th runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.5 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The price then went back the other way, and out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for traders (builders happy ad finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result......
The 8th runner we wanted 3.45, and with being around 3.2 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at around 3.2 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result.....
The 9th runner we wanted 2.6, but a non runner and 5.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.51 (2.5 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.8 on arrival and with being around 15 minutes to the race, all strategy play completed, and only a little bit of trading left on offer, I'm leaving it there guys, so good luck traders with the remainder...
WELL PLAYED..................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - So a tough start, but we came through it well to hit the wages and more. Well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a battle, they ended up taking the levels after their 4th lay (the 4th runner) with now no room at all for error with only one potential lay left..........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner, and hit their targets on the 2nd lay (the 6th runner)..........They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 7th runner, and hit their 2nd target on their 2nd lay (the 8th runner)..........They ten ran out of enough potential lays to start another strategy/target, and so end the session winning 2 targets...
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief......They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.88, and a good result see 4 runner builders hit their targets....
5 runner builders needed 10% max of their targets, and so always advised to take that and run, and so those that did it was, target hit too - However, we'll play on for those going for the 10%, and so they had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.8 max, but a poor result see them give a tiny bit back.......They then had their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.96, and a good result see them hit their targets...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.
Total bank remains £400
1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.88. Result positive. Win £100

************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.
Total bank remains £400
1st lay 80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 1.88. Result positive. Win £90
Total bank now £490
(within 10% max of the target, so always advised to take that and walk, so target hit - However, we'll play on for those that went for the tiny bit extra)
2nd lay £122 to win the £10 needed @ 1.8 max. Result negative. Lose £8
Total bank now £482
3rd lay £160 to win the £18 needed @ 2.96. Result positive. Win £18
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.
************************************
Traders had to concede a little on the 3rd runner at 1.8 max, but all others see them win or break level, so they win a bit on the session and well played guys. Good luck with the remainder...
So 4 runner builders played a blinder to hit their targets, especially with 2 from the first 3 winning, so great stuff guys. 5 runner builders hit also, and if not taking the 90% of the target when 4 runner builders walked away, then then got the rest on their 3rd lay and so well played guys. Rollers hit 2 targets, and after a battle and breaking level after their first, they did very well to win a couple this afternoon.
I'm off out this evening, so good luck if you play this evening, and hope to see good results on my return. Speak in the morning at latest guys...
Marc.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. That unexposed nature is in force for this session, so leaving us vulnerable to big drifters and gambles, but overall we have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way.
Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
