Is anyone else in the opinion that night racing starts too late at night and ends way too late.
Take Appies for example, They leave the course about 30 to 45 min after the last race (22h45) take a 30-40 min drive to the jockey academy +- 23h30 (arrive) and take into consideration all the unpacking and etc after that... and then they still have to be at track early the next morning... the grooms get it worse as the truck ride is even longer and etc...
If you walk around the course by the 2nd last race, there is hardly anyone on course besides the owners, trainers and a handful on general public
In my opinion
I think racing should start at 17h30 and end at about 20h30

The late times are there for a reason. Its about the turnover. The French are betting into our pools. The first race pool was 109k (No French Betting Into) compare to the third race pool of 1.7 bar! In fact during the French Winter, South Africa should try to plan two night meetings per week to benefit.
