UK lotto

If you get two numbers you receive a free ticket, numbers generated by the lotto
Last night 3 numbers paid the fixed amount of £25
4 numbers you won £51
5 numbers plus the bonus ball just over £10K
there were no winners of the £26 million jackpot
Left the best for last
5 numbers paid £15 yes you read it correctly. So you get £25 for three numbers but £15 for 5 numbers
Its no wonder thousands are deserting the lotto.
Oh yes its £2 a ticket and there are 59 numbers

I've stopped.Too many numbers
I was putting in birthday dates and my age(39),now anything over 40 and I'm out.

I can understand how 5 numbers can pay less than 3 because the fixed pay out on 3 could produce a fluke that doesn't leave mush in the kitty. But how 4 can pay more than 5 is odd.

Perfectly logical. Was an outlier. The numbers 7 14 21 35 42 all came in (Multiples of 7), so people who played the multiples of 7 had 5 Numbers, with only 28 failing to hit, hence more winners of 5 Balls than 4.

Five things have messed the lotto up
1. Price increas from £1 to £2 a line
2. Increasing the numbers from 49 balls to 59 balls
3. "Paying out" a free lucky dip for getting two numbers. They generate the lucky dip numbers. They then add that total to prize money paid out. Con.
4. Selling the lotto to the Canadian Teachers Pension Fund
5. Pure and utter greed by scamalot sorry camalot the people who run the lotto.
Even though the numbers were what they were they should have taken a couple of million out of the jackpot price and gave it to the 5 plus the bonus priZe pool. Nobody is going to win the lotto for at least another 4 draws. They know it and we know it.

I have stopped playing the lotto since the change-increase of numbers and change in pay outs a rip off as you have seen above.
