BULLET PROOF -HARRYS SON-

What would be Laffertys excuses to the owners?I. personally believe this horse ran to his ability.Ryan Moore did say that there were many 'no hopers 'in this race.I think these Aussie breds are over -rated and I hope that Roy Moodley stop listening to bottom feeder trainers and buy local.Sounds harsh but the bullshit must stop!!
I am sure that there must be a nett loss on buying these Aussie Bred horses.

seems harsh but i am sure there is a story.
i would have given my left testicle to be at the Dubai meeting so to have a runner must be amazing.Even if not running close.

You can't talk like that, the horse earned his place in the race, why not take the chance, owners can afford to let him run. Why not,in my opinion the horse had a hard prep and it took its toll.

If the owner wants to run and he can get in then let him run. The thrill must be huge. To even have a runner in the July was a hell of a buzz and ride for the owners and myself. Just looked like a well below ability flat run. From there he should have run on but didn't. He is much better than that.

The only thing that could get me to invest another bob in a horse would be for the prospect of a Dubai campaign ........so any owner who happens to have a horse that qualifies , taking it there is a no brainer if you can afford it ............I would however have come to an arrangement so that it would race out of the MdK yard(with recognition to the Laff yard)...if I'm spending that much money it must be supported by a tried and tested track record!

Hi Guys. Please accept my apology if I have offended anyone especially the Lafferty Stable. My gripe is not with the stable or the trainer but rather the fact that there is always 'a story' like somebody commented. Why always a story/excuse?and why must we accept it?Yes there are many valid reasons for horses poor performance but surely there must be accountability.Trainers never admit they stuffed up.Yet we have to accept there excuses .
With regards to this horse earning a million. It costs 50kUS to send a horse from SA to Dubai as per a sporting post interview with MDK.That excludes training fees and noms or and bringing the horse back,so the owner will run a loss for sure. And for experience of racing in Dubai, well who will the experience benefit more, the trainer or the owner and at whose expense?
As to Aussie breds ,there are many great Aussie performers, that is clear for all to see.My point is that of the many imported into SA how many actually come close to realizing there ROI.Yes there are a few exceptional ones but mostly no hopers that win maidens early then never train on.
Again I apologize if offending anyone and NO ,i did not have 1c on Harrys Son.I chose to listen to Ryan Moores proffessional opinion .
