New format a must

Although I live in the Northern Hemisphere it does not stop me loving the Super 14. I think that the present format needs a kick up the bum.

A. The side finishing top automatically reaches the final with the next 4 sides playing the semis..this will give extra interest in the last couple of round robin matches.

B. Split the 14 teams into two groups, GROUP A AND GROUP B. In each group the sides play home and away and the top two of each group qualify for the semis.

C.If the format is to remain the same then each country should hold the final every 3 years no matter what teams progress to the final.

D.Thw winners of the Super 14 to play the winners of the European Cup with the match played in the lessor playing nations to promote the game..ie Argentina, Japan etc.

I think that this is well thought out post, and must agree with you they all need a kick up the but.
