SCOTIA ON SUNDAY 25TH MAY.
17 years 2 weeks ago
Good morning to the CLAN after a hearty breakfast for scotia from a rather cold, miserable Pretoria.
Its nice to have a good fry up after a heavy evening, so the black pudding, bacon and mushrooms on a couple of fresh cheese rolls was just the answer.
We are talking more about food and socialising than horses these days, but have to concur with the post from Catsmug, that the food in the Furious yesterday was again first class and again well done to William and his team and the initiatives by the RA to get punters back to the track.
As mentioned before we should be using our efforts in a positive manner for the good of racing rather than having a negative approach, but this is only my opinion.
The highlights on the turf yesterday were Singing Sword and Zorbas Tale and from Ireland Henrythenavigator winning the 2,000gns, the 1,000 will take place today, but not easy to find the winner, but Nahoodh could be worth a punt?
Watched the boxing last night, and was not that impressed by Hatting, but the guy he beat was no mug, so a win is a win.
The Crusaders look good for the super 14 and sorry for the Sharks, a bridge too far.
Rangers eventually won a trophy, but had to struggle.
Feel sorry for the Chelsea manager, but no sign of compassion in soccer, and Rijkaard could be the new man?
Plenty racing today from Clairwood, "NGONG", Fontwell, Newmarket and Uttoxeter.
Its getting to the stage where its just as easy to read the forum rather than study form.
The horses I will be considering are Nahoodh and Duke of Marmalade in Ireland, Bronze Cannon at Newmarket to continue winning ways, and the Uttoxeter "Im so Lucky" keeping in line with yesterdays results, plus Redemption to win again, and for the bumper Smoke and Mirrors vs Diablo, will have to stick with "McCoy the boy" to make the difference.
Good punting!
