Ramsden,Snaith,Kannemeyer Jnr,Marcus on the way and many competent others.
As Boy Louw said "looks to the Scoreboard" when someone told him the Boks were
playing badly.

Not quite sure what you mean. The end of the Durban season or end July.
The trainers championship is based on stakes so the JHB trainers have a huge
advantage.Higher stakes across the board and huge main stakes for Gomma Gomma etc.
Number of wins makes Smith and Miller the best in the RSA? give me a break.Big fish in a small pond.
The jockeys champion is the jock with the greatest number of winnersin the season.
50 years +- ago a Bloemfontein jockey Leon Desmarais rode most winners in the season but was NOT recognised as the champion of the RSA.
Mind you Bloem has never really been part of the Union of South Africa?

Consensus, The bloodstock in W/Cape generally getting better.
Barring one or two imports + Kings Gambit, Gauteng getting worse.
Now just look at the years gone by and you will realise

Maybe you should be aware that some of the best athletes in the world train at Potch and Mexico City.Plus we have the Kenyans. Why,the blood count changes. A higher red cell count.Thats what carries the all important oxygen.Horses are no different.Red cell counts at sea level are as much as 4 points lower i.e 8 to 10%
Makes a difference over the last 400.
Not easy to raid JHB from CT and better from Summerveld which is a bit above sea level.
The way the racing operators have carved up the "seasons" makes it a better option for the CT trainers to go to KZN after the Cape season. No possible to do JHB CT and KZN with most horses.
