There are some good owners there, the Scribante colours flying high with that superb win last week by Greef
If only the trainers can get the act together like how Stanley Greef and Andy Smith churned out winners for the patrons.
With breeders like the Parkers, Fenix, and a few others like the breeder of Tarn Fairy, they should race their stock against each other, their IS no competition from the Xhosa's so have a field day breeding and racing against rival stables. :silly:

Just the one "traditional" East Cape trainer has runners in the East Cape Oaks, think they should reconsider the name of the race!

I wonder what the size of the field would have been with no "raiders" permitted...

The weak regions like PE and Flamingo survived in the past with smaller owners sending not so good horses to be trained cheaply ( deals etc )

with the regulations on horse retirement etc will this effect PE and Flam? Or will more horses be Euthanased?
