Qing for me in the 1400m. Getting better with each run.
In the Guineas, I'm gonna forgive Vilakazi for that last run. Marinaresco classiest horse in the race but better over 1800 and further.

We have had some good soaking rain over the past few days, but it has cleared today and I would expect that the course will be in good shape with the going yielding.
A good quality card with two interesting feature races, but quite tricky.
Race 1: Castlewood and Storm Front should fight this out, with a preference for Castlewood. The 2 yo Captain Blackbeard improved nicely last time and won't be far off.
Race 2: we have Julie Orly running here. She has come on from her debut when green and needing it, and will improve quite a few lengths. She has a small place chance but this is quite a strong field, and stable companion Shizam is preferred. China Pearl and Gysy Beauty have run well behind some smart sorts and are the two to beat. Arctic Green and Slope Style should make good improvement after fair debuts. The unraced fillies complicate matters- Epona is a half sister to Jay Peg; Victoria college a half sister to Black Toga, and well bred import Irish Grey all worth watching.

Race 3: Gregorian Chant has improved with every start, and deserves a win, but Always in Charge should again have his measure and is selected to win. Cock-a-Hoop was not far off on debut and will be in the mix. Dark Force and Cigano Andaluz can improve on fair debuts, and Volatile Energy is another possible for the places.
The unraced Aviemore, Table Bay and Casino King should be watched.
Race 4: this is the most difficult race on the card and as many as you can afford in the exotics. Crawford has a strong hand with three young, improving Trippi's. Captain Bagg has good form over 1000m, and should cope with 1200m. Sail for Gold is capable. Tiger Tiger and Silicone Valley revert to 1200m and are useful over the trip.
Race 5: Peonie Rock disappointed when favourite last time, - she again gets pole position and the 2.5kg claim may make the difference and I select her to win. There is very little between the top 6 in the ratings.
