Then gets it back !!!

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Trainer S Janse van Rensburg, who was legally represented, appeared before an Inquiry Board at the offices of The National Horseracing Authority, Eastern Cape on Tuesday 24 November 2015.
National Horseracing Authority1. Mr Janse van Rensburg was charged with and pleaded guilty to a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in the he failed to vaccinate certain horses in his care in accordance with the programme of vaccinations for Equine Influenza. He was fined R10 000.

2. Mr Janse van Rensburg was charged with and pleaded guilty to a contravention of Rule 72.1.19 in that he committed a dishonest practice in relation to racing in that several passports for horses under his care contained irregular and or false entries relating to Equine Influenza Vaccinations. The penalty imposed was that Mr Janse van Rensburg’s Trainers’ license be cancelled and that he be fined a sum of R60 000.

The Inquiry Board after hearing evidence in mitigation, wholly suspended the cancellation of Mr Janse van Rensburg’s license and suspended R20 000 of the R60 000 fine imposed for a period of 5 years on condition he is not found guilty of a contravention of Rule 72.1.19 during the period.

Mr Janse van Rensburg has the right of appeal against the penalties imposed.

so he is a fraudster
i wonder what his mitigating evidence was

it must be the vets fault
for forgetting to bring his pen along

ps
i hope he doesn't embarrass the system any further by appealing

I think these incidents are a sign of a deeper problem with smaller yards struggling to survive and cutting corners out of desperation.

I disagree. I think its just an attitude that its just a hassle and a victimless crime . Millions could be lost to the industry if there is an outbreak of Flu.
Likewise people knowingly breaking the AHS transport rules because they "know" their horse not affected could set back the international trade a couple of years but they still do it so that they can get to a sale or show etc.
Its just selfish narrow-minded thinking, probably no malice intended, but thoughtless that they could affect many others livelihoods if things went wrong. If everyone did the same then there would be an flu outbreak annually, no question.
To me its a far worse crime than drugging your horse to the eyeballs because at lest then you are only risking your own skin.
