Polytrack- Open invitation

Kurt the manager of the Greyville polytrack has spoken to me and extended an open invitation to anyone who wants to view the track, chat about maintenance or anything to do with it, to contact me through this thread and we will put together a time that suits all. Maybe if enough people want to actually see it for themselves we could do it in two tours. This will give the people who are not sure/worried etc a chance to see it first hand and dispel their fears. I think it is a great idea of Kurt's. :)

I personally think it is a great initiative by Kurt. People/Owners/Punters and anyone interested can make their own minds up and not be swayed by some of the biased/negative reports by trainers/jockeys or anyone. Go see and make your own mind up. I will be very interested to see how many take Kurt up on this offer and what their perception is of the track after seeing it and chatting to Kurt. Please take up his offer. :)

Crikey guys! An open invitation. So far a piss poor response? Let the haters be haters! UnderstandbLe some are not local but maybe it is easier to criticise than listen to reason.

Crikey ,an open invitation to what?the problem is not about the surface /maintenance etc.
It is about putting two mickey mouse racetracks in an area that previously had one of the best turf tracks in the world!(and one that had the best drainage in Natal)
Your pseudonym says it all really (for the uninitiated dilligaf stands for "Do I Look Like I Give A Fuck")
That is exactly the attitude that is exhibited by Gold Circle, thereby creating haters as you call them.

What , listening to the track manager having to try and divert attention from a really bad boardroom decision? :P

You have to love this nonsense............

This is the crowd who dug up the turf over the subway at Greyville and got their scheduling wrong by over 3 months, followed up by the decision to build ,in a very tightly restricted area,a polytrack footpath and a turf track that can no longer take a hundred races a year.
They then turn their attention to Scottsville and re-do the turn ,and true to form ,got it wrong by over 3 months again!!!

.......................and we are the arseholes :woohoo: ;)

RF do you not think that at least they should be commended for trying to educate/ help the punters/owners. Even when they try they get slated. Is that right? If anyone agrees that it is right that they are slated for trying then they are definitely not interested in anything but being a hater as they have been called before. Give credit where credit is due otherwise you are not being impartial and only want to see your side, rightly or wrongly. Maybe the guys that slate the track and that can go but don't are too scared to go as they probably going to be proven wrong which would then give them no reason to slate for the sake of it and with no proof to back it up. Someone( an owner/ punter) who reads here called them Trolls at races earlier today if I remember correctly. Anyway lets see if anyone accepts the offer.
