Entries Post Merchants

A massive entry of 52 has been received for the R400 000, Grade 2 Post Merchants to be run over 1 200m at the Greyville Night Racemeeting on Friday, 17 June 2016.



Red Ray from the Joey Ramsden yard, that was also supplemented into the Tsogo Sun Sprint, has not raced in South Africa for two years having last appeared in the Scottsville race where he finished second to Normanz in 2014.



He will be the crowd-puller if he takes his place in this race where he could meet some top sprinters including the In Full Flight Handicap winner Captain Alfredo and the Trippi gelding Tripandi, both from the Dean Kannemeyer stable. Tripandi has won his last three races on the Greyville poly in impressive fashion.



Dennis Drier’s Trippi gelding Ferrie, winner of his last three races, is also among the entries along with the speedy filly Real Princess that won the Poinsettia Stakes for Kannemeyer.



Supplementary entries close at 11am on Friday, 3 June 2016 with declarations on Monday, 6 June 2016.
