Interbet Now Have 'Operator Disease'

It seems that since Interbet have bedded down with the operator they are now displaying all of the same traits as their partner does.

Their site went down yesterday afternoon. How long it was down for I cannot say as I had other things to do so just logged out.

But fully 24 hours later it has still not been fully restored and the UK streaming is unavailable.

One would imagine that they would have felt it necessary to, at least, notify everyone with a simple message or, God forbid, a post on ABC.

Of course not. Because this is the racing 'industry' (sic) where the customer features a distant last.

Perhaps they might wake up one day and realise that, by betting on their site, we are actually PAYING for their service. They might even like to retain us as clients.

As many have mused before me - there just seem to be far too many sheltered employment types in this business who neither know nor care about those who pay their salaries.

My unhelpful response from Interbet was the mindboggling - 'You'll have to take it up with.........etc'

Actually, Bob, they had a virus issue.......but surely their first response (apart from panicking!) should be to ensure their users were informed?

.....and BTW.........the UK streaming was not restored for the whole of this afternoon/evening.

Not to mention the scam e-mails that continue to arrive daily (just now, "FedEx International: We could not delivery your parcel" with a virus attachment) from my e-mail address that they provided to the scammers.

I think this is a bit unfair. Garrick, you don't think that they would be offering the UK streaming if they could? Can you get UK live streaming from another local bookie?? I think that they should get some credit for developing and integrating dynamic features like streaming, tote and soccer6 (fantasy type game) that is different to other stock standard bookies.

Yes they could of just sent out an SMS or maybe they did and you had Opted out of previous SMS's so you didn't receive this one - I don't know.

"... betting on their site, we are actually PAYING for their service. They might even like to retain us as clients." - do they not pay for extra services that entertain you? Like the streaming - do you think that is free? Again, there are many other bookies that would rather keep the money to themselves then put it back in to improve their business.

I agree with you Whiteline Fever. Guys just complain all the time day in and day out. Quite frankly I would rather have a service that works 95% of the time vs not having the system at all. As you say, we are actually getting that service for nothing.

....and I'm with Garrick....not having a go at Interbet but the operator/s.....still for weeks now there has been no streaming delayed or audio on tabonline local or overseas and it is not really for free
.....I am still betting with them and turning over revenue for them to take a chop instead of a bookie taking a chop..... despite all the bitching nothing gets done....why should I have to use someone else's stream if I am not betting with them.....we punters are ignored and the big cheese's wonder why they cannot get more people interested in the game.....they suck....
that is why they cant stop people from going to other forms of gaming or just moving on..... :S .....really pathetic

Whiteline Fever - How am I being unfair? I use Interbet ONLY because it uniquely provides UK streaming. Other bookmakers don't therefore I don't use other bookmakers. For me its their USP.

For your edification I looked up my account statistics for just the last 3 months. I have paid them a service charge totalling R 21,164 (excluding VAT) for the use of their site and the 'services' it undertakes to offer.

This means that I am paying them an annualised R80,000+ to provide a service which, at present, they are not providing.

If I had a customer who was paying me this kind of money on a steady basis I would make it my BUSINESS to keep him informed if something went wrong.

......There is nothing 'free' about it!
