Hope this doesn't clash with someone else opening the same thread.
I actually think this is a good card for the punters (famous last words :pinch: ).
I'll submit so this doesn't clash, and will talk about the ones i fancy shortly.
I really fancy the chances of Night Shadow in the 7th. This horse has quite a bit going for it. Whilst it looks inconsistent in it's last three runs, the first run back was over a distance it would have found on the short side and it was found to be not striding out. The next two efforts were against much stronger where he was badly out at the weights, in fact, in his last start, he was the lowest rated horse in the race and still finished ahead of 6 higher rated horses. If he runs anywhere close to any of his last two runs, he will be the one they all have to beat.
Race 6, at the weights, Heartland should win this. I have never backed him in any of his 4 victories, but i have stuck him in a multiple tomorrow, purely based on the weight structure and his record over the distance.
Fancy the Marcus mounts, (R1) Pep Squad, (R3) Vine Street Star and (R5) Warm Night Alice.
Mixed and matched all of the above and had a punt on Night Shadow.
Enjoy the meeting.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I really like 2 on this card. first one is not a suprise, Heartland... 2nd run after gelding and I have put a line through his last run. expect the class to shine through and win.
The 2nd one I like is in the last race. Looking at the field, if Tarry had entered his runner "Leige", this would have been deep in the red imo. WEALTHY ran 1,75l behing this lto, after losing a length and casting shoe running on.carried 57 that day and now carries 53,5kg. I really dont see 4/1 lasting on this.....

I just can't see five jockeys falling off in the same race.

Race 3: Vine Street Star looks hard to oppose and is a pick 6 banker as it has the raced horses cold. Lots of first timers. I have Royal Agree running- she should need this outing and will be better over further but we are expecting a decent first effort. The stable companion Trippi's Girl is the stable elect and both should be included in trifectas and quartets.
Race 4: Captain at Sea should go close after a decent debut.
Race 5: Night at the Proms looks ready to win.
Race 6: This is tricky because any of Lineker, Budapest, Beat the Retreat or Purple Mountain could win this if running to best form, but all have question marks regarding their consistency. Can't get excited about Heartland at a skinny price giving lumps of weight away.
Race 8: Frikkie stays well and looks a big runner.

Not much market confidence in Heartland yet, on ratings etc should be a good bet at the price

RACE 1 HOUR GLASS - Market support suggests the step upto 1600m will bring out an improved run.
RACE 5 NIGHT AT THE PROMS - Has improved with every run, wont be far away today.
RACE 6 HEARTLAND - 2nd run after gelding ,takes a drop in class watch for market confidence.
RACE 8 FORBIDDEN DUEL - In fine form and Stays the trip well
