Kzn track- Taboo to discuss

The recent concerns around the Greyville grass track and the Scottsville straight course drew comments from jockeys and trainers. Presenters have apparently been sent letters stating they should not lead with questions regarding the tracks. Is this true? I have just read this on Ramsdens blog.

I've got to agree about the Scottsville track last weekend. It's looked dug up and certainly not in a condition to run any sort of graded races on. Joey states a few days earlier they ran a few sprints on it leading up to the big meeting. Greyville grass on the other hand doesn't seem fit enough to smoke. An absolute shambles in my opinion. The "old boys club" mentality raises its head yet again with Gold Circle. They were forced to sell Clairwood because of financial reasons but they sold the only track they own and the best. I'm afraid there's so much cherry blossom poisoning with Gold Circle from all the boot licking that goes on.
I just wonder if another organisation applied for an operators license to run racing there in direct competition to them, how would they survive. Competition is allowed across all industries so this is possible.
