Yesterday evening i started mowing the lawns but after half an hour the pully cord got stuck and as i did not have the correct ratchet fitting i had to take it to the repair shop, 20 miles away, this morning. It took the bloke about 4 minutes to unscrew the top, put the cord back into position and return the top. Great. Get home and its pissing down as usual.
What makes it worse is that these hoards of weather presenters they employ on the BBC and Sky cant get the forecast correct. It was supposed to be sunny and dry today. Dont know why the person reading the news cant just read off the forecast (which he/she will get wrong as well) but at least they will be saving of salaries and thus our monthly supscriptions can be reduced.

R3 York Swift Emperor E/W. Forget his last run as he helped to set a furious pace at Ayr. Doesn't have to lead and looks sure to be ridden more patiently today. Has every chance on his previous efforts this season and can make the first four at least at 11/1.
R3 Ascot Kodi Bear (win or E/W). Hasn't been quite at his best in two Group Ones this season, but will find this a good deal easier under his ideal conditions. 7/1 is a nice price.
R6 York Easton Angel (win or E/W). Back to her best this season (and her best is very good) and now looks ready to take on older sprinters. Won't mind the rain that has fallen at York and should go very well. 7/1 is a very good price.
