Gold Cup
8 years 10 months ago
With the Gold Cup being just 2 weeks away there seems to be very very little interest compared to the Durban July.
I have attended many many July's, but not 1 GC and I guess that it's going to remain that way. It's sad that the game needs new players but I feel that the marketing is not up to speed with regards to the GC.

Yes much more hype for July early betting, drama etc
However the Gold Cup day is a far more pleasurable day racing and not as hectic as the July day

From a punting perspective the gold cup has always seen better results than the july , throughout the years that I have been racing.

One of my best punting days ever a few years back, Glen Hatt riding futura and waving flag was a easy game that day.
