For the UK clanners and those with access to non-SA bookies, I do think the backed Woody Cape is worth an e/w in the 3rd. Back over 1800 which saw his best run by far to date could see significant improvement again and re-united with Sturgeon. That previous run over 1800 might have been a one-off but with 25s still fairly widely available (backed into 9s this morning in SA) is worth chancing imo. (On finishing checked and only Hills still have 25s)

Striker up for Human/Ziets in the 5th on Royal Master caught the eye and this ones non-sand form could be good enough here but, as with much of the card, looks a competitive race. Aza Arrow might be nibbled if drifting. A Striker e/w double with S'way in the 7th could be profitable and, if fit n ready, Tiger's Legacy could see Botes finish the card with a double, at the prices Trip To Paradise makes e/w appeal, finished well from a long way back lto and could overturn the form with Noah's Ark.

Be(s)t of luck to all

Now ya talking soutie :woohoo: :woohoo:

We have best draw , best jockey and i think royal master's best distance .
We ready , striker is ready and cannot have royal master in better shape.

Its for me like the "July" for the the big boys.... its always been a dream from childwood days to have the best in the world on my own horse against the big trainers .

I will probably get a stroke if we pull it off today . We will give our all.
Shout him home B)

Two heavily backed first timers Bob and Sim also looks to have Pippi's measure, though the draws might help change that. Not without hope but assuming the money is correct (big assumption perhaps lol) then it may only leave one place to go for...?

If I were to chance one for a place I would take the complete idiot route and do the outsider of the field Butterfields. Halved in price on debut but failed on the sand after a lousy start. Muzi up today and he is over 20% wins and over 50% places for the yard. Quite likely throwing money down the toilet but at the prices it need only be a wee bit a loose change ;)

All the best Ziets, hope the dream comes true for you today bud. (Best in the world might be stretching it a bit... ;) )
