Can't have that Jooste horse in the first.

I prefer the Tarry horse. Draw not a concern.

Race 2&3. . Delpech for me.

Chicken, I think Surrey must be the one to beat. Has run to much stronger, merit rating has dropped from a 81 to a 77 in roughly 4 months, and gets the apprentice allowance of
2.5 kgs. With the exception of Roy's Air Force, has the entire field under pressure at the weights, however Roy's Air Force is a one time winner, taking on a 4 time winner, so I will gamble and brass Roy's Air Force. Hopefully I've read it right, have a look and see what you come up with.

Agree with Dean regards races 2 and 3.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I went against Delpech in the 2nd. I went for Trinity Hall. Yes drawn wide, but last 2 runs have been drawn wide. Flew up in both with (in all due respect to the chap) not the greatest of jocks imo. Brandon up and extra ground.

Also did the treble Trinity Hall x Enlightenment x Wandies. 35/1 :)

Now that I have given you 3 to brass on the day, good luck to everyone

BB a huge runner. When beaten by DF we had to change to an appie as there was no one else available after Alec was thrown on the way to the start. Buster was too quick for him and he could not get the cover needed to relax and pulled the whole way. Although we are a Kg worse off, there is a 12 gate turn around in draw positions and a jockey who knows him well so unless something goes wrong or DF has improved a lot, I do not expect him to beat BB. Anthony would have had the choice of ride on DF or Surrey I am pretty sure and chose DF.

Morne Winnar has fallen on his feet a bit since moving to KZN ( as a workrider?) could only get a ride for C Burger in the WC cape and now riding for Ramsden and Laird in kzn
