Dev , confusion reigns , what is happening to bets we took earlier when race 9 was still turf :

They never changed from Turf to sand or vice verse in the middle of an exotic ........and as far as I know that was deliberate ,because changing courses in the middle of an exotic is not allowed!!

Tote rules as per tabonline:

2.4.2 Change of venue or track
Where the venue of a race or track is changed from that originally advertised, the bets
shall stand and pools carried over. Refunds shall be entertained on customer request,
unless the race is abandoned, in which case the provisions of rule 2.4.1 shall apply.

As I said .....should!!!!
Imagine having a p6 banker on the Turfontein outside track,drawn 14 down the straight 1200m.......if for some reason it required a switch to the inside track,you can throw your ticket away!!!!!!!
Also very relevant to Fairview where draws could play a big part in any switch!!!!

I have just arrived home, had a look at results, had a quick read through the forum, and sit here thinking to myself - Thank God my sister has arrived from the uk and I spent the day away from racing.. I would have done my nut (although one of my fancies did pay R4 odd a place.) Never the less, if I was playing would have been in deep hoo haa.... thank you sis for saving me money and well done to those who made bucks

With the change of surface, fixed odds bets are null & void - and therefore single straight bets are refunded, while in multiples that leg is scratched. However, with regards to exotics and open bets, these bets still stand.

Another shoe to be refitted on Arabian National. This is driving me mad. Why is it always realized at the gates? A zillion questions.
