Final Judgement will be even more effective over 1600m. If it were not for the draw. I would be confident of her completing the double as she is still improving. After leading all the way in the Slipper, she responded late when challenged, and was going away at the end. Under the circumstances, we will have to hope for some luck in the running. We don't know yet how soggy it will be on the day and no one knows how these babies will cope with the mud.
Dawn Calling has been priced up favourite, but to me, if i look beyond my own runner, the value lies with Visuality. She has a good draw this time, and I expect her to finish in front of Dawn Calling. The other Tarry runner, Safe Harbour, should also relish the 1600m, and must be respected despite her wide draw. Querari Falcon and Sail are both capable of improving enough to win.

All the best with Sail
I have backed Dawn Calling 4/1 and 7/2 Only bet for the day (if they race)
DC will start 15/10 race time

Marinaresco now into draw 12/14. Helps a bit. don't see how he'll get beat to be honest, make St Tropez the danger and maybe a back-to-best Baritone.

Despite the draw, I feel Mygirldownunder (7/1) is a runner in the 3rd.
On debut in a Juvenile Plate she beat the De Kock runner, Ebtihaal, comfortably by 4.75 lengths after being backed from 2/1 into 9/10.
Second time out, in the Grade 3, Strelitzia Stakes, she was punted from 9/2 into 28/10 favourite, unfortunately had valid excuses for under performing.
She must be above average which would explain why she was punted on both occasions. No disrespect to jockey Kennedy, but stick Marcus up, then what price? Having said that, still believe Kennedy will bring this one home.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

agreed on this one. cracking price. Hype was there before that grade 3 and if you watch the race, the way she moved up was really taking. Unfortunately something went wrong. If she's overcome that, must be a big runner.

Im really only excited by 3 runners on this card.
1- Stand out bet of the card is Zodiac Ruler. And imo, I must agree with avataar, this looks the real real deal... the way its won its 2 runs despite being slow and one of the quickest times (I saw bob post) despite being slow away, and Justin mentioning was not fuly wound up just proves it is a BEAST.. definately the highlight runner of the day for me.
2- Puntas Arena - clearly loves greyville on big days, the trip up its alley, De Melo rode it last time. Will take Marinaresco on anyday over the trip in the going (just my opinion ofcourse). 10/1 and shortened into 12/10 a place is a steal..
3- Kinaan. Already posted my thoughts, price is far too big.Massive runner....
