R1: Should be too close to call between Enchanter and August Eight with the former having the edge. Lead Wolf
seems to be struggling a bit, but will be right up there if finding her feet again - and if so would be the
winner.
R2: Motivation Looks Capable of winning here, but too little exposed form amongst the others. Would be interested
in I'm awake's run for future reference.
R3: Will be an interesting Tussle between Speech Time and Auberge, Auberge may or may not go on over 1600, and Speech time was eased at the 400m when tackling the mile for the first time. Field Gate also an interesting runner.
R4: Flirt with Casey is capable of winning here, do we discount that last run? - perhaps with Khan up, and improvement every alternate run -faces an unpleasant draw. Some others with possible chances are Rambo's Belle, Orkells Bridge, and Shezalady.
R5: Difficult Race. Looking to Swarming's Win as the Benchmark and he has been placed with every chance at following up.
Royal Winton would be the danger but for the rest, poor draw and jockey selection. Moshimane would have to be in with a squeak.Wouldn't be Surprised to see Fearless Thomas pop up here. This seems to be the lottery race of the day.
R6: Mentor to win this one, with Singing Sword next.
R7: Lady Red appears to be the one to beat. Gloxinia and Tibetan Stone could upset.
R8: Cheyenne cannot be discounted here. Confetti could run well if fit, and Resolutiva could be a strong challenger.

All in All not the best punting day.

Juveniles, always risky but fancy August Eight of the raced runners in the 1st and Motivation in the 2nd.

There is another indirect line between singing sword, mentor and Fanyana which suggests that Mentors win over singing sword was not a fluke.

Beat forest lecture before and there is nothing at the weight between them today. But you are right - although I've never put much value in the weights...

Race 1, August Eight still my fancy with the roughie Vast Lightning. So its swinger 1 x 13 and trifecta boxed 1x7x13.
