Very difficult to find winners especially the northern tracks because of the all the rain. My worse July/August for years so far. York cant come around quick enough and hopefully the rain will stay away from there until after the meeting.

Looks like a sentimental choice based on the name

R4 Beverley Tinsill E/W. Was a bit disappointing when well fancied in a slightly stronger race at Carlisle last time (although wasn't beaten far in the end), but had previously been running very well off today's mark of 50 (including over this course and distance). Has a decent draw and can go well on his favoured fast ground. 10/1 (Sportingbet) or bigger is a fair E/W price.

R6 Worcester Veygoodverygood. Most of these have nothing at all to recommend them. The selection has easily the best hurdling form and comes here off the back of a good third in a better race at Newton Abbot. Today's conditions should suit and he will be very hard to beat against such weak opposition. 5/2 (widely available) is a good price.
