DURBANVILLE TRACK RE-VAMP

ONLY 3 Cape trainers voted in favour of putting a Poly track in at Durbanville......they either do not like the Poly track or they prefer raiding KZN.

Their bosses "the breeders " horses are too precious..
Plus there is probably no need the tracks are well looked after

Reminds me of a person that is offered a brand new Merc but decides that an Ox-wagon is a better means of transport

that is not in dispute -- but the poly has kept kzn alive with the poor grass tracks and many pe meetings have been saved by poly.. for me the benefits of another surface outweigh the negatives.. Gauteng was promised one years ago but nothing yet..

i would have preferred indoor racing.
Put a roof over durbanville.
and spotlights for night racing. they have special on lights and roofing at Builder warehouse at the moment.

Why not build a Polytrack somewhere on the West Coast or in the Boland?
Joostenberg enough land and not too far out

Mr Hawaii, i totally agree with you but why have the Cape trainers not taken up the opportunity?
I am stating for the record once again, I am not opposed to Poly racing in general and there should be a Poly race track in every major centre. I don't enjoy racing on poly but that is just my opinion as this surface definately has its place in racing today.
I have not been happy with KZN using poly as the dominant surface from September to April for all races in KZN and if the programming was done differently it would work for everyone.
Once again, why have the Cape trainers not taken up the Poly option instead of raiding KZN & PE?
