Caught the Menangle jackpot only to be refunded by Hollywood as they say the tote started it off with the wrong race yet they where updating the tickets till the third leg.Anyone have the same problem?Meant to say starting with the wrong first leg.
The tote sheets initially had the incorrect starting leg for the Jackpot and Pick 3. They then decided to refund all Jackpots and Pick 3's taken at the Menangle meeting. We have therefore done the same. All bets have been refunded by Hollywood. Apologies for the inconvenience but it was out of our hands.
We did offer this bet type and we pay the dividend that the tote declare. If there was a dividend declared we would have been able to pay out. Unfortunately there was no dividend declared as the bet type was refunded and we are unfortunately not able to pay out. All losing bets as well as winning bets were refunded.
I know the tote made a mistake Kyle but hollywoods have nothing to do with the tote.Your jackpot legs where there for all to see.The jackpot was paying R163 going into the last leg with a 5-2 shot winning the last leg,surely you bookmakers can work that out.I know it's a hard one(and i'm not going to get rich with whatever the dividend would have been)but i hope you see my point here.
Durbs I latched on to this discrepancy when I noticed Tabonline giving the 1st leg as R3 with the No.5 as the winner.
The online Tabsheet showed R2 as the 1st leg. However at the Tote I checked their sheet which comes thru their system from Gold Circle and this sheet showed R3 as the 1st leg.
The fault lies with Saftote and however is responsible for disseminating the correct info.
Hollywood strictly follow the Tote in all their bets and in this event it was totally out of their hands when Saftote decided to refund the bet .
What about punters that threw away losing tickets, shagged again by incompetency. :evil:
