if you see someone getting mugged
8 years 9 months ago
Frank and I got robbed, same time we saw thousands of racegoers as well as an owner, trainer, jockey and a horse getting robbed so we ran to the culprits and demanded to know what going on,,,
Now believe it or not the Brass are suggesting in a Monday industry liaison meeting that Frank and I get banned from racing, not that they can enforce it or have any rights over who plays the game, but just to point out the lunacy of the brain tank inside racing, how much longer will all the kings new clothes people let the little dictator lord over them ?? , is there not a man left in racing ???, are all compromised ? or is fear of being victimized overcoming them ? we did not punch some defenseless person on the race course, we merely demanded an explanation for what is commonly known as daylight robbery,,

they can't win this one.
If they reverse the decision (in principle) that vindicates you
If they find the decision fair they open up pandora's box.
classic situation.

There is a simple way for the NHA to show its transparency ...............make the tapes public .............I assume that the the entire objection hearing is taped,so lets see/hear it!

8 years 9 months agoNo good reason not to upload a video of every objection on the Nhra site... Transcrips of court cases available to public so is the management of a sport top secret?rob faux wrote: There is a simple way for the NHA to show its transparency ...............make the tapes public .............I assume that the the entire objection hearing is taped,so lets see/hear it!

There is no vindicating anyone. Once pay-pay had gone after the objection, everything was set in concrete.
67.6 APPEAL FROM OBJECTION BOARD
There shall be no appeal against the decision of an OBJECTION BOARD, whether in
respect of the OBJECTION itself, or in respect of a decision to declare the OBJECTION fee
forfeit or to impose a fine for lodging an unwarranted OBJECTION.
All that is left is to sanction the people involved if they made an error with the goal of preventing a repeat.
On the one hand you always want justice to prevail so you don't want to slam the door on fixing mistakes. HOWEVER, the punter has to live with whatever is decided on the pay-pay signal, and in total they have more to win/lose on these outcomes than the connections so it's almost a slap in the face for everyone else OTHER than the punter to have justice later.
It's an interesting one to argue.
