I fancy Gimmethemoney to give them a run for their money in race 2, despite carrying 62.0kgs. Looking at her betting history suggests the stable think fairly highly of her ability, so much so, they had the confidence to send her to Durban where she broke out of the Maiden ranks. Whilst she will concede weight to the entire field, she is not conceding too much weight to the immediate market rivals. Lakahal looks to be the main danger, but she did beat a very moderate bunch last time out.
R6, Odd Rob is the other I'm hoping will go close. I think the drop back in distance, the draw and the addition of blinkers could see Odd Rob be very competitive off 55.5kgs.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

@Bayern, not saying she can't win but I would be very wary of Gimmethemoney's draw. Although The Winning Form graphs do not show a bias overall since the course opened, the last two meetings have imo shown a big advantage for those drawn high. Had a month to rectify it but you could have said that at the last meeting, so it is possible it will change today but who knows. These are the results of 1000m races for the last 4 Vaal Classic track meets by draw number...
1st Sept
Race 1 12 runners - 9-10-11-6-12 (draw 1 beaten 11.75l)
Race 7 8 runners - 6-5-3-7 (draw 1 beaten 8.75l)
4th Aug
Race 7 12 runners - 12-10-8-6 (draw 1 beaten 17.25l)
Race 8 15 runners - 15-14-13-12 (draw 1 beaten 9.95l)
21st July
Race 4 15 runners - 2-13-4-7-11-15 (draw 1 beaten 14.25l)
Race 5 13 runners - 13-10-1-3 (draw 1 beaten 1.7l)
12th July
race 6 10 runners - 9-8-10 (draw 1 beaten 11.75l)
Maybe your bet is already down in which case I hope for your sake the bias has been removed
(It won't be good news for me though lol)
