R1: Ensign Lavery, Little Big Man & Potchefstroom will be asked to show if they can go on over the mile. We only have
form at 1200m for comparison and on that form Potchefstroom looks the better choice. That is to say if all three
go on without problem. I will envoke Rule 31 : "Don't back a horse to do what it hasn't done before" and watch the
race.
R2 :Tight Call between Shosoloza and Highland Rule, Spring Academy should benefit from Marwing's Partnership. I would
not like to try and seperate these at this early stage.
R3 :Battling again to seperate Belly Dancer and Dancing Falcon. Form points to Dancing Falcon, but Belly Dancers races
don't add up and I suspect she might be the better of the two. Dollarmite gets a restart and would prefer to see
how she goes, Blue Eyed Queen could be in the mix if finding improvement - was slow and squeezed on debut.
R4 :Lulu Belle the one to beat. Green Africa close behind.
R5 :This is a complicated race. I am pointed towards Mac Mufti, and Espoir De La Paix Here. Can't help but feel though
that both are not suited to this track. Gamesmanship would be hard to beat if he can improve on his win, and he is
more suited to this track - but the odds are always stacked against a repeat win.
R6 :The question here is wether to expect Free To Sing to live up to his MR, for if he should he would be an outright
winner. A sleeper here is Georges Cino - if we look beyond those two last shockers. McQueen is another who based
off his last race, would have grabbed the extra 50m with legs and feet - he absolutely took off last time over
1900m. One way of beating the handicap is by running over an untried distance and this put's Sumali in with a
shout here. Wavescape is another who took off over 1900m last and may like the extra 50m. I would be loathe to
play this race.
R7 :Keats Drift and Tamarino Bay. Tamarino Bay loves this track but is not well drawn for this one. Golden Chariot an
obvious danger here.
R8 :Another Puzzle. Light Spectrum and Far Under Par are shown up here with both doing extremely well at this track, but
not so well at this distance.
R9 :Pearls Singer looks set to win here, would also be Interested in French Minuet here but poorly drawn, Jettison must
also have a chance.

Summary: Looks to be another hard card to figure. I could find some value in ensign lavery (R1), Highland Rule and
shosoloza (R2), Belly Dancer, Dancing Falcon (R3), Espoir De La Paix and Mac Mufti (R5), Free To Sing (R6), Tamarino
Bay (R7), Far Under Par (R8),

May prefer to focus my attention on UK racing tomorrow.

Hear the weather is ominous there, maybe even rain! Amybody with the weather report?
Officially listed as good going though.....if the rain reported further down in Durban moves up there though...isn't it just 50km from durban?

I see even the UK is experiencing rain and heavy going......no play today? look to the AW surfaces?

Only one bet today
R7 Speed For Gold
Ran to about a 90 last time when beating Smart Banker(MR92) very comfortably.
Only raised six pounds to 83 because of handicapping rules re: plate races.
Well in here, and dont be surprised if it starts favourite(i got 4/1 on Tuesday).

Anomaly in the Mahlatini/Walrus race. If the reported time was accurate, then Walrus would be the new course record holder at that track, Probably an erroneous time reported for the race.
