Whoever chooses/decides the venues for UK, USA, France and Ireland needs guidance as sometimes the venue chosen is the one with the inferior racing for that day. Take for example on Saturday, Parx Racing could have been shown and wagered on but they chosed the other two Monarch courses. We could have got a glimpse of Songbird. Repeatedly it has happened for the UK meetings. Dont be surprised we wont get to see the Arc as they thinking its at Longchamp!!!!

I used to think it was down to 7 race cards in the UK

They would often leave out the bigger meeting with only 6 races so they could show the meeting with 7 for exotic reasons ?

The exotic reason makes sense but no doubt the meetings shown are also those that are cheapest to air.

I think there are two feeds that covers all the racecourses in the UK. I suppose they buy a yearly package or sign an agreement of how many years they want. France is continuously be shown on the second channel. In the USA, they have the NYRA feed, Woodbine (Canada) and the Monarch Racecourses to choose from. Can hardly be the cheapest to air as it is bought beforehand in advance. This is why at one stage we did not get any racing from Hong Kong as it was still being negotiated.

First of all Happy Easter to everyone that is observing.

Was out for the day hence the late post. This is absolutely ridiculous. The biggest all weather meeting of the UK at Lingfield but we get Newcastle. Someone at Phumelela is not doing their job properply....

I watched the preview - P. have not got a clue .

They are expecting a crowd of over 10k there today . The interviewer spoke to a few people coming in at the gate, it seems like a meeting where its a day out a Public holiday and couple of people celebrating their birthdays and choose to spend it at the races . How wonderful is that.

What do we get two local mediocre meetings . But they will still swear they are doing a great job.

Kentucky Derby Weekend from the USA and no coverage of the Kentucky Oaks today Friday but alas there is three other meeting offered by Saftote for the USA. Guess it will be the same tomorrow for the Derby

It has always been a major concern for me and no logic it maybe be what can be shown rather than should be shown?
I have lots of respect for Rob Scott and certain posts might be rather ignored but in cases like this it would be reasonable to get a response

Today is the Irish Derby. There's only one night meeting in the UK.

But alas, they are no exotics for Ireland today. They could have covered the last five races as the last four races is after South African meetings are over.

For sure they will show the races from the Curragh. Trust me!
