Ready to Run, Really
8 years 10 months agoFor buyers, we think that Ready to Run sales are a no-brainer.
Excluding the factor of the vendor having carried the cost of the additional months of keep, as well as two months of pre-training, buyers can see how the horses move at pace. Yes, many athletic individuals are good walkers, but there’s always an element of extrapolation; of imagining the gallop based upon the walk.

See they talking about Knife Edge .... formally trained by brian wiid and when he lost his eye in the gates he was suspended from racing.
My dad bought him then and its the best horse i ever ridden in training and in races and until today i remember how big , strong and lightning speed machine he was.
Its also the last ever horse i rode in a race, weighing 64kg in july 1995 and that was me 16 years old after riding in races from the age of 11 years old.
After that i only rode work until 18 years old, by then weighing 78kg.... and today im a solid 158kg
He was one of the main reasons i totally fell in love with racehorses.

The Ready to Run sale due to take place on Sat in Cape Town will be the same joke as
the last couple of years.
Buy Backs will prevail More than 50% will be bought back so that they become eligible
for the R To R race
No other reason
Prices become untrue where somebody decides to take on the owner who wants to retain the horse
Bet that I will be proved correct as regards buybacks
the last couple of years.
