hope they come through for you.
but are you the next Frodo?
only time will tell.
Sorry haven't had time to even look at the card and will be on family duty tomorrow morning
What does come to mind though is that a few curve balls may lie in waiting if the predicted wet weather does indeed materialize
Well done, DC ON THE BALL THERE![]()

Perhaps a wrecking ball
Lol indeed!

Race 2 - Negroamaro 12/10
I know she was hammered by QF last time. no excuses. Can't remember where I read but Van Vuuren said she was only 70% fit for that race and you could see it. Now she meets QF on equal weight terms - and I know QF is highly rated but Negroamaro is no slouch. She'll be fitter this time and if any horse deserves her 3rd win it's her. So many close calls with Anton up especially and I hope they can get it right on Saturday. If Juxtapose was slightly better weighted I would have went for her - cracking filly too.
Race 6 - Dame Eleanor 3/1
Lovely debut. I backed her blindly mainly because of her breeding and sort of doing the same here. Drawn 16/16 she won well. The second placed horse Mogostar is being taken to Cape Town in Drier's string so she must be a fair filly. That 6 furlong was too short for Dame Eleanor being a New Approach, i'd wager she'd prefer this 7 furlong. Don't know how good she is at all but at 3/1 - MDK + Delpech there's no reason not to be positive IMO. would also give Miss Turbo a squeak @ 14/1 having run in much stronger company LTO.
Race 7 - Al Fahad 12/10
Possibly the one I'm most excited to see run on the day. Word was this was highly rated by the stable and confirmed it on debut. We know Van Vuuren rates Doosra as well who came out to win easily nto. Al Fahad was entered into the golden horseshoe on July day, he was entered in the Cape Classic in a weeks time as well. Think the 7 furlong again will suit him down to the ground. This could be MDK's best 3yo. Delpech still up and he should be winning this if he's anything above average.
also fancy Singapore Sling in the last who was impressive on debut. few negatives so will most likely get on this closer to race time.
2/3 will do. Dame Eleanor very impressive as she was green as grass, fought all the way . Al Fahad still needs to learn about racing. Impressive nonetheless.

Well done MomF
But 'impressive' is imo a word too easily bandied about these days - both de Kock runners certainly above average - but the filly had to work hard to beat a PE raider who was giving her weight - the colt 'impressed' me more - but early days
...... and he scuppered my vision of that BIG P6

Oomph seems exposed/ limited after that poor 4th. Was travelling well. Muzi looked like he gave up first though.

You're right there Frodo but what I liked was how far back she was and she had to make up ground, a lot more than Al Fahad who was handy. Just my thoughts
