Craven is high up in the weights, his price is too short but let me tell you......
I have not been excited about a horses' looks as I have this one, in a LONG while!
He is a beautiful mover and a strong galloper!
Would love to see him win!

What a tremendously below par ride that was.....
The horse probably would have battled with everything against him but man, sometimes jocks are too one dimensional.
Perhaps taking a sit off a decent pace might not be the worst thing on the planet?
Not Richard's finest moment I don't think, with 58.5kg's on the horses' back......

Too little evidence but I wouldn't be taking odds-on Craven yet!
Admittedly, i backed the horse today, back I'm worried at the strength of what he beat last time, so I'm not comfortable. Last time, he beat the blind school after being a difficult ride, had there been any decent opposition in that field, he would have been beaten. So I'm hoping for a glitch free race from Craven.
Given every chance, and no excuses, so no complaints.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Yip that was a poor run but what about One Direction who drifted from 28-10 out to 8-1 and runs stone last. They didn't even try with that horse and someone knew very well that was going to happen.

Can never be sure with too little data(too few runs),but I had/have all 3 of the 3yr olds, in that race, between 6-10 points lower than official MR's..........wouldn't have put my head on a block but maybe they are a bit overrated on that evidence!
(Would love an opinion from anybody else who handicaps what ratings they had for them)

Ya Bob, a few years now.........
Published: 12 August 2013
Race horse trainer and well known rugby referee Jonathan Kaplan made his debut at the Arlington race course in Port Elizabeth on Friday.
Unfortunately for Kaplan rain cut this meeting short. Only two of the eight races were completed before the track was ruled unsafe and the meeting called off.
"I am very disappointed. I looked forward to this meeting," Kaplan said.
"Everything was looking nicely. I got in early (from Cape Town) and had time to visit Arlington for a change, but now this.

I had doubles and trebbles onto Craven and felt a.little disappointed after the race. He definitely needs 2000m.....this is not the last we will see of this horse. I am confident I will.gwt my dosh back some.time in the future.

Has owned and still owns a few in partnership with Robert Bloomberg eg A Time To Kill Race 9 on Saturday.
Saw him before the first race at the course yesterday. Usually an indication that they fancy the horse.

Probably slightly over rated(i fell into the trap), Champions don`t get beat often from MR 60+ rated horses

I remember shouting my f in backside for Craven to win first time out and I know the money was really down but up comes the stable and pips. When that happens to me the first time I become very wary of such a horse. It will never have anymore of my money ever again.
