Hallucination is scratched
Rather take Plum British 8/10 a fixed place than Ebony 5/10 for a win
Just a thought

R1 Ebony Knight
R2 JUST A JAG
R3 Fish River Canyon
R4 Victor Young (w/o the fav)
R5 Bondiblu
R6 Shine Bright
R7 Streetwear
R8 intandakazi
R9 Magic
R10 Stunned
Sure some of the prices of these were much better with WSB before the seemingly miserly Bettingworld priced up! Anyways, will treble the first three and do a few e/w accies with the remainder.
Be(s)t of luck to all

No sure why we need to have the Vaal today ......anyway, some thoughts - and as per usual I am mostly in Englander's camp
Some general thoughts .....rain has finally arrived so horses who have been struggling on the hard ground should be improving; also in the week all races down the straight were won by runners drawn 5 or lower
R1: Looks a 2 horse contest between Ebony Knight and Plum British - with Torre del Oro the unknown quantity
R2: The draw bias (or not) will probably show itself here; Just a Jag needs to repeat his very good last run and is also potentially drawn on the wrong side; I like a bit of Wottahottie - has a chance on form and also get the 4 kg allowance from an inside draw; both Maroun runners have cracked inside draws so have some upset potential here; other form runners are drawn high, so until proven otherwise, I'm going with the runners down the inside
R3: Fish River Canyon tries the extra 200 - only the race will show if she needs it or not - does look the one to beat though; I think Cosmo Russe (out of a Saumarez mare) will get much closer to FRC today; only other 2 needing consideration are the de Kock runners - of which Strut Your Stuff is my preference
R4: Everyone's banker and will probably arrive - more due to the lack of competition than anything else - also no obvious alternative, so if you are trying to beat him, you will need just about the field
R5: First of a string of real competitive looking handicaps - I'm going to take a chance and suggest that Consequentially is still ahead of the handicapper - blinkers have really improved her and she won in a common canter last time; main dangers obviously the Woodruff coupling and Tobsuretobesure; some spooks to consider imo are AP Chanel and Tales of Mambo - both (especially ToM) have come down a lot in ratings
R6: Very tough race imo - the 'right' horse Mythical Magic has the potential benefit of an inside draw, but does seem to have a bit to find at the weights; others who look well in like Might as Well and Pied Piperess have outside draws; for me I like a bit of Wendish - coming off a rest, but really likes this course, has potentially the 'best' draw and has won her last race off a 69 and today will race of an effective 65; Beckoning appeals with the 4kg claim and another roughie to consider imo is Cat's Whiskers who has tumbled down the ratings
R7: Colts and gelding's equivalent of race 6 - although we have all jocks riding here - Trip to Paradise always thereabouts and hard to imagine that he won't be right there again; Move Like Jagger may be a bit better than his last start and has won 4 race out of 5 tries over this trip, so must be in with a shout as well, while Streetwear completes the trifecta of most likely contenders - he has potentially the 'better' draw of the 3, so is my tentative first choice; a few spooks lurking imo - among them Star Trek, who has been sent to PE where he won twice in a row - connections must feel that he will be competitive in Gauteng again
; Triple Beat is still dropping down the handicap - does look better over slightly further but has the potential advantage of being drawn on the inside
R8: Not getting any easier.....another race where the draw may decide the outcome - from a PA point of view, I'm siding with Intandokazi - but Roaring Tiger and Son of Approval both look well handicapped and may be good enough from middle draws - not too many without a chance though
R9: Due to the open nature of the rest of the P6 races (bar the opening leg), I'm going short here - Roquebrune looks very capable and for me will prove hard to beat at the weights over the minimum trip; there are many others including All Night Flight, Just Africa and perhaps Alaca looking for place money, but for me the main dangers to R are Gun Fighter and Magic - GF has been badly off form but has won 3 races over this trip and is slowly coming down the handicap - also imo will enjoy the 'friendlier' going - he does hold Magic on his last win, but Magic has the 'better' draw
R10: Time to do something else ......
Enjoy
