Is the gate not going to charity? I know they did that before and for me that's fair.

I know you're only teasing about the 50 bucks but that got you into the area called Triple Sensation, or something, inside the course. It wasnt a large area but it was very trendy in there and all the girls looked hot. There was a great looking bar too. I thought at the time "well done for Its a Rush for finding this niche, they should build on this". I didnt go in because I was on my ace and I didnt pay anything at the gates. Now I wish I had taken some pics in there.

It did not look busy at all. I think the corporate areas may have been busy but there weren't many ordinary folk around from the looks of things.

At least Greyville is not in a totally grubby suburb of DBN.

Also its one of two premier events on the racing calendar.

i dont see where yesterday falls even near to a premier event.

the 2.5 mill race was a average looking MR 85 at best.
The Java Handicap even worse. just longer in distance.
The starling stakes a MR 79 if not worse.
The charity mile decent field. but not the premier mile race of the year. not even second best. hence the grade 2 status.
The Graham Beck was descent race but not a premier event. could have been run at the vaal mid week and no one would have cared.
golden loom a bunch of overated SA spinters. top two are top class.

however if a 100% of the 50 rand goes to charity that is great and well done. but that was not communicated anywhere i read.

by my calculation 50 rand * the 10 non VIP people on track yesterday that is 500 rand owed to a charity in Gauteng
