The Queens Plate still has a Lily White crowd. Have to attract the Black Diamonds of South Africa, like the July and a certain extent the Met. If crowds is want they want then its progress but pools is what they want. Please check Fridays Greyville commingled Win Pool with PMU and Saturdays pools. The Queens Plate Win Pool was 570k, Race 2 Greyville Friday reached 1.4 bar....

That's interesting Naresh don't normally check tote pools but aware a massive pick 6 pool
I also got that impression that the celebrities are not really punters and possibly more a marketing exercise for cape tourism
Deez also mentioned something along the lines lots of youngsters and we not trying to get them to be punters but get the racing vibe and experience and possibly own a horse next year

IMO the big race days are better than they were 10 years ago( when I started following )
The run of the mill ( midweek meetings ) are stale with all the boring Poly racing

I thought the "In a Rush" campaign is to get newbies into the game and the addicts to the racecourse and for them to bet. Record sales for horses has nothing to do with the campaign unless first time buyers have made purchases after been introduced to the game through the campaign they running. Same with the posting on ABC if the contributor dont punts into the Tote.
I would like to know how many posters on ABC has started punting as of 2016, ie newbies.
We are the last of a generation so to say

How can we be in a rush. I know there are not to many Cape Supporters out their, but this administration is messing up big time.
Maybe my good friend Peter D. has the answer but what about the day after Saturday.
The Met is on Saturday 28 January 2017 the next Cape Town Race meeting is on the 11th of February 2017 , That is two weeks - from a high to an exact zero.
Thank Goodness Peter D. is having a fair season , but what about the small owners and Trainers two weeks out of 4 weeks in a month . How are we going to even get a chance to pay our way. It would like having a business month of 10 Days in a Month no company would survive.
On the 11th there are Eight Races carded 5 Maidens a 70 - 72 AND 84 Handicap.
I understand that Durbanville is unavailable but what kind of planning was this or is it just oh well the big boys had a great summer season that's all that counts.
How can this be a Rush? Only a Rush is to my bank manager tomorrow to apply for an overdraft to pay for February 2017 .
