Kenilworth Thursday

Don't fancy the Greyville card but really like Silvan Stars chances on Thursday. Back up to the mile will suit, 3rd run after rest and Fourie riding is a bonus. A repeat of her comeback run puts this field to bed imo. 5/1 a very nice price. All the best Peter D!

TML, R6, I think Captain Gambler is the one to be with, especially if the run of the 18/10 is used as a guide. Both were having their second run after a break, the plus for Captain Gambler, this time round she gets an additional 1.5kgs in her favour.
Whilst Captain Gambler hasn't gone the distance, her win over 1500m would suggest she should see out/stay the extra 200m. For me, being a three year old she does appear to be the one open to the most scope for improvement.
For what it's worth, LM bookmakers have them joint 3/1 favourites.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Our Lady Peace in Race 5. Should be a runner here with natural improvement. Orffer/Crawford been doing very well lately with bad draws. 7/2 not a bad price - more scope than most here.
Couple other mixes and matches on - Lord Balmoral, Baqueira and Mogostar.

Race 1: Overdrive and Maxamore should fight this out.
Race 2: Lord Balmoral has disappointed last two, but can win this if regaining best form. The well bred Pillar of Hercules is on the up and is a big runner. Desert Fighter returns from a break, and may need this, but is capable at best. Tricky race.
Race 3: Phoenix Rising is very good value at 6/1 despite the wide draw. Aim for Glory and Give it Away have scope for improvement. Black Parrott has been a bit disappointing, but has shown enough to be involve in the finish. Braistin is consistent and should be included in quartets.
Race 4: Desert Wisdom has a wide draw to overcome, but we are expecting a bold showing, and he should be in the first three. There is not much between him and all of 4,5,6,7 .
Race 5: We are not expecting much from Bacini. Quite an open race. Rubyana looks good ew value.
Race 6: Silvan Star has a wide draw to overcome, but we are expecting a good run and she should not miss the first three. Captain Gambler is 1.5kg better off at the weights with her from last time, so is a big threat. My Emblem and Secret Seven are well in at the weights on best form. Competitive race.
Race 7. Pete's Girl won well on debut and could win again in an open race.
Race 8: South Side appeared to need his last run badly, and could make amends here.
Race 9:Mogostar is a short priced favourite after a good debut effort. Cream of Chrome and Contessa Fantasia look the main dangers.
