Rambo Dancer wrote: Is it normal for them to cancel or postpone racing because of a weather forecast?? From what ive seen, the forecasts are never really that accurate. When they say there is a 100% chance of rain, it doesnt rain, and when they say only 20% chance of rain, there is usually a massive thunderstorm! I think it is stupid to cancel or postpone a meeting based on a forecast. Tomorrow they say there wont even be a cloud in the sky, but just watch how the rain comes and spoils tomorrows meeting. Really hope that does not happen though!! To think, if they just let racing went ahead today, we would have been going on race 7 right now.

the only time the weather is right is when you open the curtains in the morning and see what it is. Weather forecasters are waste of time and salary because as you say they always get it wrong (well where i live that is)

Sorry....I guess it is controlled by Phum so it's fine

to be fair we had deaths in flooding this week in my area and though I'm 20km from Turffs my grass is sodden... I think sometimes nobody is to blame, if we must apportion blame, when nothing human could have been done to prevent the cancellation.... The forecast this week was 100% for my area(heavy rain predicted and arrived)... but today when rain was forecast with thundershowers(lightning) there was none.

Tbh Deeno, if I had to put my neck on the line based on future weather being the decision maker, we will race. I just dont know how bad the turf is already...
