Discuss the card below..
Not sure why top horses need to be prepped in public, especially ones that have hero following in the totes

I think with any more rain, the meeting will be gone - and even should no more rain fall, I suspect the going is bound to be yielding at best - and not a lot of runners have shown that they like those conditions - and some that have shown a preference for the wet, are patently deemed by their trainers to need the run (if jockey selection is anything to go by) - so all in all I think it's shaping up to be one of those days to rather concentrate on Kenilworth (not sure how that card looks)
or do something else
For the desperate, in the Victory Moon, Liege has won his only try in the wet easily - and given the draws could hold off another mud-lark in the form of Judicial, while I am really hoping that the removal of blinkers will bring the best out of St Tropez.
In the 5th, Talktothestars has not yet run in wet conditions, but should he do so I think he will prove hard to beat - should he fail to act in the conditions, I have a feeling that Oomph may finally deliver some return on his hefty price tag when bought from PE - he did not run badly last time (in yielding going) when giving the much vaunted Al Fahad 3.5 kgs to be beaten by less than 4 lengths
Other than those, it really looks tough imo

Wouldnt it be funny....
Between Friday night and Sunday there is 5 local race meeting carded, and 4 of the 5 get abandoned. With the only one meeting going ahead, full of prep's...

I am still hoping to make it to the Big T. It is probably the last chance for we Gautenger's to see the Eagle in the flesh.

Tons of rain around Turffies last night, if we race today it will be a compliment to the groundsmen of the Big T

NB!! Due to heavy overnight rain and the forecast of more rain today, the meeting today at Turffontein has been postponed until tomorrow. Race times as carded.

Is it normal for them to cancel or postpone racing because of a weather forecast?? From what ive seen, the forecasts are never really that accurate. When they say there is a 100% chance of rain, it doesnt rain, and when they say only 20% chance of rain, there is usually a massive thunderstorm! I think it is stupid to cancel or postpone a meeting based on a forecast. Tomorrow they say there wont even be a cloud in the sky, but just watch how the rain comes and spoils tomorrows meeting. Really hope that does not happen though!! To think, if they just let racing went ahead today, we would have been going on race 7 right now.
