Lifted from the Sporting Post
Many thanks to Glen Kotzen for these comments on his Kenilworth Wednesday first-timers.
Race 1 – MOOT SILVER (11): she is a bit on the soft side and will be needing the outing.
Race 1 – WIND DANCER (13): she has not shown enough to recommend her.
Race 4 – JUDDERNAUT (10): We are hopeful he runs in the placings.

A very tricky card today, my thoughts are :-
R1) Despite the drift, Cherry Bliss is the one to beat for me. Put up a decent effort over the distance last time out from a fairly wide draw, Cheyne retains the ride and would have a much better idea of how to place the horse this time round. Moon Princess is the obvious danger, think she is worth taking on from draw 10, she tends to race fairly handy, so would imagine they will try and bounce her out again.
R2) Our Destiny is really well in here, for me she is a possible banker.
R3) Greenflashsunset the one to beat, Icon King the obvious danger.
R4) Leaning towards Black Parrot however I would respect the money coming for the favourite Juddernaut, reason being, first time at the races, not well drawn and yet they still believe he is good enough to beat this field. Difficult, certainly not a two horse race.
R5) Despite trying to pull off the 4-timer, I think Overshadow is the one to be with. Put Delpech on Blackmore and I'd make him the one to beat, he is weighted to finish ahead of my selection. Just find it strange that Kannemeyer hasn't considered trying another jockey on this horse. A one time winner from 25 outings yet this horse is ultra consistent, try something different.
R6) Summer Sky looks the one to be with from draw 1. Free Agent the danger.
R7) Mogostar looks to have the most scope for improvement, bumping some well tried sorts who are not in the best of form, I would gamble and banker her, albeit she takes on the boys. Don't think the trainer would stick her in the race if he didn't believe she was good enough to beat them, just my opinion.
R8) It's My Turn is another who is well in. Taking a chance and say his class will carry him through. Someone to beat him, Midnite Zone.
R9) Make A Memory from draw 1 should appreciate the extra, the joker may well be Phoenix Rising.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race1: Moon Princess narrowly preferred to Moonsaballon and Cherry Bliss. Figure of Grey or Contessa Fantasia to fill the quartet.
Race 2: Our Destiny should win this.
Race 3: After all the scratchings, Greenflashsunset a banker.
Race 4: Black Parrot has been in and out but has a great opportunity to crack his maiden here. Mtoroshanga should give him the most to do.
Race 5: Blarney Bay is still enjoying his racing at 8yo, and can be relied on to run his usual game race from the front and has an ew chance in an open race. Catkin is well in at the weights and is the one to beat. Overshadow keeps improving, but the handicapper may have caught up with him now.
Race 6: A very tricky race. Summer Sky and Half Moon Hotel weak preferences.
Race 7: Mogostar is improving but very skinny price. Kirumbo, Soweto Moon and Heracles others to consider if looking for an upset.
Race 8: Whiskey Baron is the right one after the scratchings.
Race 9.Desert Wisdom can never crack a draw, but again has an ew shout.
