Hollywood bets - are we suppose to be content with such terrible service?

placed a bet for R1000 places today at 12:50 for Vogues Wood

When placing the bet the betting of Vogues Wood and Clever Move swapped around so I accidentally placed the bet top 4 to place on Clever move instead of Vogues Wood

I immediately phones Hollywood to cancel the bet since I know that they can only cancel when the odds does not change

They did not answer at all on their Helpdesk number (0860042387) so instead I tried the whattsup line to say urgently cancel the bet ... after 10 messages on whattsup I get 1 message back " Dear Valued client please contact our Helpdesk department on 0860042387 or whatssup them on 076116212 for further assistance"


I tried contacting the Helpdesk again - again could not get through .. so copied and paste all 10 messages I sent on the other phone and sent it to the other line they specifically gave on the whattsup line (0798817335) to say I must send to 0768116212 as per their request

Again no answer from their helpdesk and hear nothing back from their whattsup number they gave ... Eventually I got through to their helpdesk and by now the race was already run , the horse I wanted to back at 2/1 a place paying R3000 ran a place and the one that I accidentally backed ran nowhere ...

I spoke to the helpdesk told then to get the manager to phone me ... NOTHING YET

EVENTUALLY I got a reply from the whattsup line at 14:34 to say "Hi, please note we do not cancel bets via whattsup, you can call 08000 46559

(contrary to their own message earlier)

It has been 2 hours I still have not heard from anyone further and it is just an absolute disgrace that people could have such terrible service and just bluntly NOT BE BOTHERED about client service which cost me a NETT R4000-00 in the process,

Please advise which is a better bookmaker to use since I Will close my account rather and take my money elsewhere. ...

I just cant be comfortable with such incompetence anymore...

For other clanners, please note that the only method we offer to cancel bets is via our Call Centre on 08600 46559 or 08000 46559.

Why is it that when its posted on ABC, Hollywood via Dev are able to resolve issues,,,but not via their help desk?? Raises questions bout the competency of Hollywood staff! fortunately i have not raised any issues but there must be 100s of disgruntled punters who must be complaining bout the help desk not being efficient...something to improve on Hollywood!!
