Race one. Well related - Love to Boogie.
Had a go e/w .
See it's priced around 7/1 now. (Heard nothing ) just punting purely on breed.

Race 1: A competitive field, many of which ran behind Ngaga last time. We have Golden Wine on debut- nice filly, but will need this run. Could get lucky and place.
Dark Goddess is improving steadily, and should be in the shake up.
There are plenty with chances, of which Baltia looks the pick.
Race 2: Catkin won narrowly last time, and could win again, although they are likely to finish all in a heap again.
Race 3: Rubyana is selected to beat Jack and Jill, but little between them. Sandy Bay had good juvenile form, and would win if returning to her best.
Race 4:Sea Pass is a short priced favourite and should be a banker for the pick 6. Blind Spot showed improvement last time, and may be the best of the rest.
Race 5: Banner Hill drops back in trip, and should again be competitive. I would rather go with the two improving 3yos, Ollivander and Nightingale Lane.
Race 6: Black Cat Back is 2kg better off with Gregorian Chant for a 2.5 L beating which should be enough to turn the tables. Storm Front is well in at the weights with the benefit of the 2.5kg claim, and is good value ew.
Race 7: Castlewood returns from a break, and is now well down in the ratings. He could surprise at long odds if returning to his best form. Very open race- go wide.
Race 8: Kotzen saddles 5 of the 16 runners and all have chances. Essenceoflife cracks a good draw. Bon Bon is a smart filly, but has the worst of the draw, and will need luck in the running. Sylvanite is improving with every run, and should be in the shake up.
Cavalleria and Big Bang Theory must also be respected.

Played a double :-
R3) Rubyana X (R5) Juddering Angel
Like the previous posts, I also think on exposed form Rubyana should finish ahead of Jack And Jill again, especially from a more favourable draw. Also feel the summer course will probably suit this horse's style of running. Last time out over the old/winter course, with it's very short run in, Rubyana appears to have run on late, so the longer straight should be what this horse will appreciate. See they have also slapped on a pair of blinkers just for good measure.
R5 the one to beat for me is Juddering Angel despite the drift from 7/2 to 9/2. The price about Banner Hill (16/10) is very skinny when you consider he is taking on a lot stronger and is not weighted to finish ahead of either Annigoni (run of the 18/10) nor Juddering Angel (run of the 03/12). Juddering Angel on the other hand is weighted to finish further ahead of Annigoni (run of the 16/11).
Of the two three year olds, Ollivander is not well weighted and this is a big rise in class for Nightingale despite having to carry 49.5kgs.
I do make Rubyana my best bet on the card as well.
Play well.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

For all you rock fans out there, try and listen to a song called Jack and Jill by Robin Trower off the album, Victims Of The Fury, you can practice your air guitar whilst you at it.

Seemingly there has been more money for the Drier horse race 1 than any horse in a while
7/1 into 17/10

Race 5 - Ollivander 5/1
Money came for him LTO so I think he must have been putting up some good work. Dancer is no slouch and then came out and ran 2nd(beating Horizon) in a hot field behind Craven(Cape Guineas runner) so I think that wasn't the worst of races. Looks like this 1800 will suit better and I think with 52kgs on his back must be a big runner. Added plus that GvN has chose Ollivander over Nightingale Lane.
Also on the money horse Field of Light in race 1 @ 9/2 so hoping she goes good today.
