"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 7th June Workings..

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed and went as follows...

The 1st runner we wanted 2.45 and with being around 2.56 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.45 max. The lay went and won with finishing very fast, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.04 (3.05 nearest exchange price). The price was 3.1 and shortening on arrival and so we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay went and won, so another favourite in and the way it goes. Traders again easily got their trade back prices in running and so got away with it........

The 3rd runner as a non runner and so on to the next runner....

The 4th runner we wanted 2.2 and with being around 2.6 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond under good late support, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....

The 5th runner we wanted 2.32, but by the time we got to the race it was off and running and so we had to avoid the race. The runner went and won and so we'll take that as a good result.....

The 6th runner we wanted 1.7 and with being around 2.1 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won and so a good leave.......

The 7th runner we wanted 1.3 and with being around 1.53 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won without too much fuss, so yet another favourite wins, but a good leave.......

The 8th runner was a non runner and so on to the next runner...

The 9th runner we wanted 3.45 and with being around 2.92 on arrival we had a lay at 2.92. The price then went for a big walk out to our own price of 3.75 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won a battle, so the drift told lies and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though........

The 10th runner we wanted 3.5 and with being around 3.0 and shorter on arrival we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite goes and wins and the way it goes...

The 11th runner we wanted 2.5 and with getting around 2.38 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.38 max. The price then went for a walk the other way and out to our own price of 2.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....

The 12th runner we wanted 3.0 and with getting around 2.94 and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.94 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....

The 13th runner we wanted 2.1, but a non runner and 27.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.8. There was then another non runner and further 5.3% reduction and so now we wanted a lay price of 1.76. The price had drifted to around 1.78 on arrival and then dropped down to us and so we had a lay at 1.76. The lay
was beaten after a battle, so a good result....

The 14th runner we wanted 3.2, but the race was off by the time we got there and so on to the next runner. The runner was beaten by the way.

The 15th and final runner we wanted 1.6 and with being around 1.9 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'....

WELL BATTLED..............(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 7 from the first 8 (87.5%) went and won (2 Nr's) - and so ultra tough and impossible to make any money to be honest, but we did the best we could and battled well)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 3 targets.....They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a sheer and dour battle against far too many winners, they went to their 5th and final lay (the 10th runner) and yet another poor result see them concede 4 targets............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 11th runner and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 12th runner) and that's where they finished up, so they concede 3 targets on the session...

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.45 max, but a poor result see them go behind early.......They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.0 max, but another poor result see them go further behind.......Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.2 max and a good result see them win a chunk back........Then came a 'free' lay (the 9th runner) that only bought sheer relief.....Then they had their 4th lay (the 10th runner) at 3.0 max and yet another poor result see 4 runner builders concede 3.5 targets..

5 runner builders played on and had a 'free' lay (the 11th runner) that bought a tiny profit.......Then they had their 5th lay (the 12th runner) at 2.94 and a good result see them only concede 1.5 targets on the session.....

Traders had to concede a little on the 10th runner at 3.0 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level and so they either walk away levels or losing a tiny bit and that's not a bad result considering!..

So ultra tough and not much we can do but battle on. We battled hard and to be fair 5 runner builders played a blinder to end up the way they did, so great play guys and well played,..

All races were priced up with non runners taken into account up until 09.53am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Plenty to get our teeth into, but at the same time the times are a bit close in places and so we run the risk of some races going off late and making us miss a race or two. Anyhow, that's not a problem as we'll just go with the flow and take each race as it comes to us. The session as a whole looks tricky and testing, so we need to keep the discipline to a maximum as per normal and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's racing.
