Race 4 - Roman Evening has 3rd run after a rest and has some fair earlier form. Can get a bit lost or hang and blinkers seem worth a try. First 4.

Owners of Jackman just need to send it to Greyville poly and collect the cash. This horse will win easily in a maiden in Durbs if it doesn't win today. And IMO will win a few there.

Soft soaking rain all morning in Midrand - if this is also the case at the track, it may yield some 'less obvious' result - so I think if you are looking for that present from Santa, it is going to take more than blindly following the favorites...
Race 3: I can't see why Storm Ruler is favorite (well I suppose the Tarry factor has something to do with it) - moderate debut and a few others have similar form - should be 4/1 the field imo
Race 4: Both fancied runners come of long breaks - so who knows - Raasmaal obviously has ability and might well win, but much too short imo; real roughie to consider for the P6 is Timeofthevikings - not the worst from and has shaped in the wet - would have been more confident if Strydom or Fortune were on this one - but maybe the stable has a plan
Race 5: Obviously Rebel to the Fore stands out and may very well win - but has run poorly last time in the wet (although that run might have come too soon after a good comeback after a break) - still some doubts; ones that have shown form in the soft include Easy Game (sport the blinkers as well) and Favour's Pride, who has run in strong company and can feature if she can show her customary speed over the minimum trip
R6: I think Prospect Strike is the best horse at the weights, but riding arrangements suggest that he may still need this - however won't be the first time that the 'wrong' one pops up, so definite inclusion in everything for me; Bulleting Home has wonn 4 times over this distance, but seems at best on the inside track - of course would be follish to ignore the Tarry stable elect; Unagi has yet to show in the soft, but is unbeaten over 1600. although not at this track; Romany Prince has been very disappointing recently, but has won in the soft and gets the services of Lerena from pole position - could upset; Front Rank also loves the soft, but has to up his game a bit against these imo
R7: Closest thing to a banker for me is Crystal Glamour - she has 2 good runs to her credit in the soft, and also has won this trip; Sensible Lover probably the main danger, but although she has been thereabouts, she seems to be struggling to find the winner's box; Kilauea tries blinkers - has some fair previous form, but her last 2 runs seem to suggest that she prefers the going on top
R8: Alaadel and Yankee Captain the obvious 2 with Golden Man; however Shortstop gets pole position and is weighted to give Golden Man a good go; Arpad looks to prefer the going on top, while Capuche is the best roughie imo
Enjoy
