Galant Gagnant could be interesting with a low weight.
Woolavington was over 2 secs slower than Daily News on Sat, putting Wendywood's run in perspective.
No printable comment on Bucked Off's chances.

Of the three Wendywood would seem to be in with the biggest chance.

galant gagnant scores a 55.07 rating on my scorecard after a narrow loss to Russian Sage -- Those two actually fought out the last finish, so you may not even see Russian Sage running in the July if he has aspirations for Dubai:)

Wendywood has been cruising, although it seems was made to work hard over Happy Spirit and that run gives me about a 48 rating but hasn't met the breaker yet? The race time actually doesn't mean much to me as I don't think the pace was anything like we could see in the July.

Both Tan Can and Russian Sage too much for Bucked off 40.47 (20), so wouldn't be too interested in that one. but Never Say Never :)

Run the July at a false pace and maybe Wendywood be there about.

Antepost betting a good place to make money:

Hows the odds you're offering:

Pocket Power

Bound By Honour
Ser De Carerra
Pick Six

Singing Sword.

Tell me the odds, and we can talk

GC Media Release.....

The three-year-old Fort Wood filly Wendywood, sensational winner of the R500 000, Grade 1 Woolavington 2000 at Greyville Racecourse on Saturday in only her second start, has been entered in this year’s R3-million, Grade 1 Vodacom Durban July – Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event.

Trainer Sean Tarry has paid the R23 940 supplementary entry fee as have trainers Mike de Kock and Herman Brown who entered their charges Galant Gagnant and Bucked Off respectively at the final supplementary stage yesterday (Monday).

All three are three-year-olds with Galant Gagnant running a super second to Russian Sage in the R1-million, Grade 1 Daily News 2000 at Greyville on Saturday.

Wendywood, out of the Foveros mare Grecian Gale, made her debut at Greyville on May 23 and after a slow start finished strongly to win the 1 600m race.

On Saturday she was again a little slow to get going but ran strongly down the inside of the field in the home straight to beat Happy Spirit and Front House.

Going into Saturday’s race she had a merit rating of 73 which has been boosted to 100. If she is accepted into the Vodacom Durban July field, she could carry a mere 50kg.

The additional three entries have boosted the nominations for the race to 67 of which only 20 will take part.

Weights for the race will be published today (Tuesday) and first acceptances will be at 11am on Thursday. Final acceptance will be on Wednesday next week with the final field for Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event being announced at a special function the following day.

Bucked off a one time winner from 16 starts. Rated 101

Best run to Russian sage in the derby. But has run 4 times to Russian sage and is within 3 or so lengths of the horse.

Will need to impress on Saturday to make the final field.
