Funny enough one of my customers asked me " why would Vee want to tip a winner to the punters , is he not the boss of the tote"?
I explained that the operators Phum and GC and you could add the exchange interbet actually want more winning punters as opposed to a traditional bookie as it increases their turnover and commission or take out with the more the winning punters are recycling the money
Just thought i would add in case anyone else had the same question or would like to add their "2 cents" now there is another question lol

Vee has a strong financial background and excellent knowledge of horseracing and betting and was appointed by Phumelela as Executive Director: Sports Betting on 1 October 2010. Vee was also appointed CEO of Betting World, a subsidiary of Phumelela, on 1 June 2015.
Above copied from P website.....but is he still responsible for the tote....and if so yet another high placed P executive with more than one portfolio.... :S

....suppose that if Vee is still responsible for the tote he deserves a slap on the back for it not playing up....or going down....on Saturday.....pity about the early race problems on Sunday and no early betting pools available for the Chinese new year meetings on Monday.....many potential revenue producing opportunities' missed.....
.....suppose it is chump change compared to what they did not loose for the tote behaving on Saturday and all those extra races with KZN getting in on the act.....as they say .....you win some and you loose some.....
