"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Tuesday 10th June Workings..
16 years 11 months ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows..
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7 and with getting around 2.38 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.38. The price then got bigger and bigger and went out to our own price of 3.0 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten after a battle, so a good result..
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.2 and with drifting to around 3.3 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.1 and with being around 1.92 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 1.92 max. The lay was green but still managed to get the win, so frustrating and the way it goes. Traders very easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it..
The 4th runner we wanted 3.45 and with being around 3.1 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.75 and beyond, so traders and builders had a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result....
The 5th runner we wanted 1.2 and with being around 1.25 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner had to work, but got the win and so a good leave........
The 6th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 14.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.45. There was then another non runner and further 10.5% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.3. There was then yet another withdrawal and further 6.4% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.22. The price was around 2.18 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.18. The lay went and won, so the way it goes......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 3.1 and with being around 3.5 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'...
WELL BATTLED...........(3 from the first 6 (50%) went and won, so another tough session for us with drifters also putting in their share of annoyance, but we did all we could and well battled)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 0.1 of a target........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner)........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner and after a battle they ended up conceding 0.9 of a target and so ended up winning 0.1 of a target on the session......
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit......They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.2 max and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets......Then came their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.92 max, but a poor result see them give a chunk back......Then came another 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.18 max, but a poor result see them go behind......That's where they ended the session and so they concede between 0.65 and 1.1 targets...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10
Total bank now £410
1st lay £102.50 to win as much of the £90 needed @ 3.2 max. Result positive. Win £46
Total bank now £456
2nd lay £152 to win the remaining £44 @ 1.92 max. Result negative. Lose £41
Total bank now £415
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £9
Total bank now £424
3rd lay £212 to win the remaining £76 @ 2.18 max. Result negative. Lose £90
Total bank now £334
That's where it ended.
Overall result. Concede 0.65 of a target.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8
Total bank now £408
1st lay £81.60 to win as much of the £92 needed @ 3.2 max. Result positive. Win £37
Total bank now £445
2nd lay £111 to win the remaining £55 @ 1.92 max. Result negative. Lose £51
Total bank now £394
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £11
Total bank now £405
3rd lay £135 to win the remaining £95 @ 2.18 max. Result negative. Lose £112
Total bank now £293
That's where it ended.
Overall result. Concede 1.1 targets.

Traders had to concede a little on the 6th runner at 2.18 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, so they end around levels which isn't a bad effort..
So it was a tricky session as expected with drifters and the wrong results coming at just the wrong time! No excuses though and the way it goes, so a little loss strategists and they go into this evening to rectify that.. Speak soon.
Marc.

Morning,
This afternoon's races, runners and prices to work around..
2.30 Redcar. COUNTRYWIDE CITY (2.38)
Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues concerning this race*
2.45 Salisbury. DESERT DREAMER (3.3)
Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.2 or under we'll go in for a lay.
3.15 Salisbury. MAIN AIM (2.08)
Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues concerning this race
3.45 Salisbury. THEORY (3.5)
Our price 11/4 (3.75) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.45 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues concerning this race*
4.00 Redcar. TIMETABLE (1.27)
Our price 2/5 (1.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.2 or under we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues concerning this race*
4.30 Redcar. GOLD SOVEREIGN (3.1)
Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.7 or under we'll go in for a lay.
5.00 Redcar. BLUSHING HILARY (3.6)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.1 or under we'll go in for a lay.
All the races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09.56am.
That's our work for this afternoon then. The unexposed nature is rife which leaves us vulnerable to big drifters and gambles, plus the prices are a bit high on the averages and so it all points to being a bit more tricky that we'd obviously like.
However! saying that we do still have enough about us to warrant going into battle, so with discipline to the maximum and with taking advantage of any prices that come our way, we'll hope that value wins the session like it certainly does over a period of time. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
